It’s that time of month again where there is another controversy for Kardashian family.
And this time it’s the older sister Kim Kardashian who is in the firing line.
The reality star Kim Kardashian’s business is being sued for a whopping $100 million. The report suggested by The Daily Star Kim’s company Kimsaprincess, Inc. got hit with the above mentioned lawsuit over the design of her LuMee smartphone cases.
Kim is not shy from promoting her case on social media, even taking selfies with Naomi Campbell and Hillary Clinton.
Similar, report on TMZ suggest that the lawsuit has been filed by a man named Hooshmand Harooni, who claims that he got the patent for the “integrated lighting accessory and case for a mobile phone device” back in 2013.
LuMee case’s design is very much similar to one by Hoomshmand, which is often plugged by Kim on social Media.
Hoomshmand’s company is called SnapLight, but unlike LuMee SnapLight is not making much name on the market.
It’s easy for LuMee to get popular in public after all it has been promoted by Kim on her social media accounts. Let alone of Instagram Kim has 102 million followers. And with that much followers and promotion SnapLight never stood a chance to compete with LuMee.
The court documents which has been presented shows that SnapLight claim Kim is getting a cut of LuMee’s profits.
However, Kim’s representative has told TMZ that the lawsuit has ‘no merit’
“The patent lawsuit filed by SnapLight has no merit and is just another attempted shakedown,” they said.
“Kim has done absolutely nothing wrong.”
