Matt Reeves the director of the ‘War for the Planet of the Apes’ is said to be starting again with the script for the upcoming ‘Batman’ movie after Ben Affleck was replaced by him.
He promised to have a totally ‘new story’.
A few months back, Director Reeves formally signed the agreement to take on the project. However, it was not until he started the project because of the busy schedule he had with the “War of the Planet of the Apes” for the past several months.
When the new “Batman” was announced, Ben Affleck was the one supposed to write and direct the film, but for some reason he stepped down from the role of director back in January 2017. Ben worked on the script of new “Batman” film, after he worked in Zack Snyder’s “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice”.
However, in a recent MTV’s Happy Sad Confused podcast director Matt, revealed that he is not going to use the script written by Ben, instead the film will be getting a totally “new story”.
Reeves said, “No, it’s a new story. It’s just starting again. I’m excited about it. I think it’s going to be really cool.”
Ben will be reprising his role as the “Batman” in the file which expected to being filming in summer, and it will hit the theaters sometime in 2019.
We really hope that the new “Batman” film can live up to It’s expectation as the previous installment of Christopher Nolan’s “Batman Trilogy” were a master piece.
